Short description of the background and assignment
Symbision provides project maangers and training. So far Symbision managed to ride the ups-and-downs in the market pretty well. However, the market is changing structurally and this requires a reorientation in how Symbision organises and sees itself: more business-like and agile.

Responsibilites
My role was to ensure the changes happened smoothly. This included getting decisions of the board and shareholders and to ensure my relatively autonomous operating colleauges feel part of it.

Challenges
  • A change in processes, structure, mindset and identity
  • Organizing resources that were working full-time all over The Netherlands

Achievements
  • Ensuring two important decisions were taken timely and smoothly and giving all stakeholders a more than good feeling about both the process and outcome.

Learning Experiences
Programmes aimed at changing structure, culture and identity are best done by an outsider; a person who is not hindered by the actual outcome.
